For the first time ever discover and experience street art at night at The Big Picture Fest Night Walk!
See street artists in action in the daylight hours on Gallery Lane, Park Row and Thompson Lane and as the sun set’s the lights turn on as you self-guide yourself towards a night time projection artwork and audio by Filip Roca in Park Lane. This impressive projection animation 'State' is a 7-minute long audio-visual piece that revolves and studies the physical world’s structure and aggregate state of the matter. It is a first for Victoria so you don't want to miss it! You can read more about the main inspiration for this work here.
End the Night Walk at The Block Party on Thompson Lane and join us for this fun celebration of street art with bands, street performances, food trucks, local alcohol vendors and live street art painting.
Where: Starting point Gallery Lane/Station Street, live painting through Gallery Lane, Park Row End and Thompson Lane finishing up at The Block Party, Thompson Lane.
Duration of Night Walk: We suggest allocating 30 minutes to explore and enjoy the full experience of the Night Walk. The best time to view the projection animation is from dusk to 10.00pm. Please note there will be strobe effects during this projection.
Cost: Entry is free and tour is self-guided.
