Frazer, aka Fraz the Wizard, is an Adelaide-based artist working from collaborative WashDog Studio.

Since 2011, he has delved into the worlds of film and parkour. A standout moment was his 2019 journey through Europe and Asia, blending his love for parkour with video art, collaborating with parkour teams and communities.

His artistic inspiration strikes a balance between a messy grunge aesthetic and the meticulous craftsmanship seen in the films of Kubrick and Tarkovsky.

In recent times, his artistic journey has taken a turn towards the realm of IT, where study and work have kindled a deeper interest in computers and data.  Concurrently, in his capacity as an AV technician he has explored combining live experiences with visual, sound and computer tech elements. This fusion of skills and experiences now drives his exploration into blending video, technology, and immersive experiences.

Fueled by a love for research and experimentation, Frazer recently plunged into the world of 'hyper-surveillance', developing a prototype using security cameras and open-source code, he explores the intersection of AI, data, and surveillance in art, an avenue he seeks to explore further.

Fraz the Wizard is the feature projection artist at The Block Party on Park Lane. Check out his work as the sun goes down on Friday 22 March (event starts at 4.30pm and finishes at 10.30pm).
