Don’t Forget:

  • Check if bookings are required in advance to avoid disappointment – capacity and spatial distancing limits apply.
  • For the best ventilation book an outside table.
  • If it’s busy or you don’t feel comfortable in the setting, come back another time or try another dining venue nearby.
  • Check the latest dining group limits.
  • Observe dining duration time limits (recommended no longer than 2 hours).
  • Be prepared to sign in using a QR code (with your device) or via a manual form – it’s mandatory for all dining places to record all patrons entering the venue for contact tracing.  If you aren’t prepared to provide your details the venue may refuse entry.
  • Ensure your table is 1.5m from the neighbouring groups (about a full arm’s length).  If not, ask the staff to adjust accordingly.
  • If standing, wear a mask when you cannot social distance safely.
  • Check with staff that your table has been cleaned prior to sitting down. Avoid handling communal menus.
  • Pack a hand sanitiser, or use ones provided by the venue on entry and exit.
  • Be prepared for all weather conditions – bring a sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, and if it’s little chilly, bring a scarf, jacket and BYO blanket. This is Melbourne after all!
