Congratulations to Candela Alconada!

Influenced by her travels around Asia and Mexico, Candela was born in Argentina and now lives in Melbourne. She has painted a range of murals across Melbourne and loves to use bright colours and colourful designs to connect people, cultures and places.

Candela was acknowledged by the Mayor at the Artists’ Welcome at Cube 37 on 19 March. As well as a trophy and t-shirt, Candela will be a featured artist in the Big Picture Fest 2025 line-up!

Aurora Campbell

I am passionate about creating impactful public art that resonates with people. As a Melbourne based artist, I would love the opportunity to engage with the community, share stories, and foster a sense of pride and unity. I aim to enhance the visual landscape of Frankston, leaving a lasting impression that reflects the spirit and identity of the city.

Juzpop - Justine Millsom

I’m drawn to The Big Picture Fest 2024 because I’d love to contribute my artistic voice to the incredible collective of street art in Frankston. Witnessing the festival's previous years, I admire the diversity and creativity showcased. Being a female artist blending realism and abstraction, I aspire to enrich this space with narratives amplifying female voices.

Angharad Neal-Williams

I’d love to be involved in The Big Picture Festival to share my vibrant, playful and engaging designs within public spaces. The mural designs I create celebrate the natural environment and notions of community and warmth, contributing to enhancing the safety of public spaces and increasing engagement within the community.

Damien Mitchell

I have been painting professionally for over 15 years and have completed hundreds of murals around the world. My work has always reflected the people and places in which it is painted. I was lucky to be a part of the Big Picture Fest in Newcastle in 2022 and had an amazing experience. I have recently moved to Melbourne and would love to contribute work to the Frankston 2024 event.

Father Marker AKA Tyson Savanah

Trips from the southern peninsula to “Funky Town” exposed me to street art and was the catalyst for me following my dream of becoming a full-time artist. Since beginning Father Marker in 2018, I have created murals and public artworks across the peninsula. I would be honoured to go full circle by representing the Peninsula at Big Picture Festival.

George Manioudakis

I would love to be a part of the BPF. It is a wonderful opportunity for me to evolve my skills and grow my fan-base alongside other professional artists. I regularly spent time in Frankston growing up visiting my god-mother, the BPF will allow me to give back to the community and be a part of the city’s street art celebration.

Tayla Broekman

I'm excited to have the opportunity to experiment, evolve my skills and showcase my art to the public, in the hope that they enjoy and connect with my art. I find that I channel the best version of my work when I paint in street art festivals, and I'd love to do that at Big Picture Festival.

Candela Alconada

My style is influenced by my trips around Asia and Mexico, and I would love to express my vision of all those influences locally. BPF has a strong reputation and the potential to boost my career while connecting me with other artists and creative people. I have a lot of ideas and I’m excited for the chance to express myself on a large scale in the public space.

Stephanie Cartledge

I'm an emerging mural artist who has been painting contemporary geometric works in Melbourne for the past five years. My art reflects the intrinsic beauty of the natural world. I believe showcasing this in public spaces is pivotal to highlighting the importance of our environment.

AJ Tan

I was captivated by the exceptional artistry of BPF in 2023. The festival presents an unparalleled opportunity for networking with other talented artists, to showcase my distinctive style to a diverse audience and be a part of shaping the future of street art. The festival's impressive calibre and inclusive atmosphere inspire me to want to be involved.
