Frankston’s Visitor Information Centre and Visitor Services is supported by a team of more than 30 volunteers who donate their time to be ambassadors for the City.

Volunteering is a great way to share local knowledge, which helps visitors and local residents make the most of their time in our city.

Volunteers provide assistance with:

  •     Face-to-face customer service
  •     Collection and entry of statistics
  •     Brochure management
  •     Information research
  •     Ticket and retail sales

Volunteers also participate in regular tours of the region, networking with other volunteers and tourism operators and further training opportunities.

New volunteers are always welcome to join the enthusiastic, fun and friendly team. Being at the forefront of tourism activity in the region, you may be surprised to learn about the diverse attractions, activities and events that make our city so great.

Volunteering opportunities include:

  •     At the Visitor Information Centre at the Frankston Waterfront
  •     As seasonal Roving Ambassadors at events, festivals and in peak visitor destinations across the city

To register your interest, download the Volunteer Program Handbook and complete the included application form.  Return the form to the Visitor Information Centre, either via email or in person. Upon request, we can post the handbook to you, or you may come into the centre to pick up a copy.
