Pets' Day Out Activities & Market Stalls

There will be a variety of free activities for the whole family to enjoy at Pets’ Day Out. From the lure course, face painting, animal farm and more this is a fun filled family day out not to be missed!

ACTIVITIES

American Staffordshire Terrier Club
Come and have a try of the lure course – a performance sport for your dog that involves chasing a mechanically operated lure.

Animal Farm
Come and say hi to one of our furry friends in the interactive petting zoo. There will be plenty of little critters wanting to meet you and have a cuddle! Operating from 10am to 12.30pm and then 1pm to 3pm.

Ash Marton Realty
Say cheese……..Ash Marton Realty are excited to be bringing the “Pet Selfie Station” to Pets’ Day Out this year! Bring along your furry, feathered or scaly friends and have your picture taken. Receive an ‘on the spot’ print out to take away as well as digital print to share on social media. Since opening their doors in 2012, Ash Marton Realty has grown to employ 18 staff and have recently announced the expansion of their leasing team, with the recent acquisition of a local agencies rent role. The team are excited to begin transformation of their new leasing office at 334 Nepean Highway Frankston which is expected to launch towards the end of 2023. This innovative space (previously Ash Marton Community House) will be a hive of activity and will offer a versatile community space that includes the quarterly rotation of local food and coffee vendors, free wi-fi, landscaped gardens and outdoor seating.

Austrailan Rat Fanciers Society
Australian Rat Fanciers Society provides information on caring for rats and responsible pet ownership. Come and visit their display, or catch their show in the demonstration arena for your chance to learn more about these wonderful little creatures!

Black Snake Productions
Visit the engaging and fun team of animal educators at Black Snake Productions who will be on hand to teach us all about our beautiful native and endangered animals.

Butterfly House 
Visit our magical mobile enclosure, where guests are invited to feed, admire and interact with the butterflies. A mesmerising and educational activity which never fails to put a smile on a face! 

Costco
Speak to anyone who is a member of Costco and they’ll tell you how much they LOVE it. BUT did you know – they don’t just sell the big brand groceries, appliances, hardware, furniture (and basically everything else you can think of) at MUCH lower prices, they also have an optical centre, hearing aid centre, fuel station, tyres, and even a food court if you need your own refuelling! Get excited… because we have Stardust Fairies joining us for free face painting! Faery Emma and her friends are so fairy excited to see you they can hardly keep their fairy rainbow feet on the ground.

Come and have a chat with our friendly and experienced officers discussing local laws, pet registrations, animals management and responsible pets ownership.

First 15 Forever Furry Friends

Frankston City Council’s annual First 15 Forever Furry Friends program, incentivises Frankston residents to choose to adopt their new pet. Council will cover the adoption fees and first-year registration cost for the first 15 animals adopted from The Lost Dogs’ Home starting on Saturday 29 April 2023.

• •  The program includes any cat or dog adopted from The Lost Dogs’ Home’s adoption centres located in Cranbourne or North Melbourne.

  •   All animals adopted from the Lost Dogs Home will be desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

  •  To be eligible for the program you must live in the City of Frankston and register your new animal to a property within the municipality. Standard Lost Dogs’ Home adoption policies and procedures apply.

Pony Rides
Come and say hi to our friends from Tranquil Park Stables who will be on site offering pony rides! Please note patrons must be between 4-10 years in age and under 40kg in order to ride the ponies.
