The event runs from 5pm – 10pm. The Christmas tree lighting and fireworks display will be at approximately 9.15pm. If you are around early, the Frankston Library will have some face painting and Christmas crafts available from 4.30pm.
It’s free to attend Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights, and there are plenty of free activities, however, you should bring some money in case you would like to purchase food, beverages, market items, candles or ride tickets.
There are a large range of food and beverage vendors within the Festival Dining precincts, which include Young Street and Beauty Park. There will be plenty of variety to cater for different dietary requirements.
The Little Beauty Christmas Market will consist of over 65 market stalls, food trucks and live music by the playground. The park also offers a great view of the fireworks!
The official parade starts at the corner of High and Young Streets at 5pm and travels north towards Davey Street to deliver Santa to the event - before he makes his way to Santa’s House in Cube 37.
Santa will be ready to have a chat about your Christmas wishes and pose for your own photo at Santa’s House located in Cube 37 on Davey Street (next to the Frankston Arts Centre). Santa’s House will be open from 5.30-9pm.
Thrill seekers make your way to Elf Alley (Baxter Street) with rides suitable for young children located in Rudolph’s Family Zone on the corner of Davey and Young Street (opposite Frankston Arts Centre). Ride ticket sales will cease at 09.40pm and rides will stop operation at 10pm.
No. There will be free performances of the show at 5m, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm on a first-come-first served basis and cannot be booked in advance. The duration of the show is approximately 20 minutes. Doors open from 4.30pm.

Yes. SES volunteers will be selling battery operated candles from their location on Davey Street. Candles are $2 with all proceeds supporting this local community group.
Gather around the Norfolk Pine from 9.15pm for our Tree Lighting Ceremony and fireworks display. If it looks like weather will impact the fireworks, announcements will be made on the night. Yes, however exclusion zones will be in place to ensure your safety. Please follow any direction given to you by festival staff, security, SES, CFA or Victoria Police and do not enter the exclusion zones at any time.
Yes. Police and security staff will be monitoring the event and taking a zero-tolerance approach to unruly behaviour.
The Festival information and first aid marquee will be located near the corner of Davey and Young Streets.
Public toilets will be available along Davey Street, Young Street, Plowman Place and Beauty Park. Permanent facilities will be open within Frankston Arts Centre and Frankston Library. Accessible toilets are available at each of these locations.
Yes. An ATM is located at the Little Beauty Christmas Market Precinct in Beauty Park.
There will be several hydration stations throughout the event site. It is recommended you bring a water bottle to fill up and stay hydrated throughout the day.
No, this is a family-friendly event. Smoking, vaping and alcohol consumption is not permitted within the event site.
No. Pets are not permitted within the festival site, excluding service animals. All pets in areas surrounding the event site should be secured by 9pm in preparation for the fireworks display between 9.15 and 9.30pm.
Yes. A portable parent pod will be located in Beauty Park opposite the playground. A second parent pod will be located in Rudolph's Family Zone. Equipped with a baby change table, comfortable feeding chair and mini kitchenette. There are also change facilities in the Frankston Arts Centre and Frankston Library.
In some conditions it may be necessary for aspects of the event to be modified. In extreme conditions where it is deemed unsafe to continue, programming may be delayed or cancelled.
