A visit to the Good Food Guide-hatted Montalto Restaurant is an experience not to be forgotten; a moment out of the ordinary. Central to the kitchen is fire, with a wood fire grill allowing the best of ingredients to sing. The abundant seasonal produce of the Montalto property is given top billing, and locally sourced meats, fish and fowl showcase the very best the region has to offer.

The contemporary restaurant features locally-made chestnut tables including a beautiful Chef’s Table with views directly into the kitchen action. The dining space is open and bright with floor-to-ceiling windows that bring focus to the views of the vines, olive groves and sculptures of picturesque Montalto estate.

Cellar Door

Montalto’s warm and welcoming team invite you to sample our award-winning wines. Relax and enjoy a selection of wine varietals, hand-picked by our team, as they guide you through the Montalto range. During the course of your tasting, you will learn how the unique microclimates of the Mornington Peninsula affect our vineyards and experience different wines from across our range.

For groups of 10-16 seeking a more intimate tasting, our exclusive Wine Room is available. Perched high above the estate, with floor to ceiling windows framing panoramic views across the vineyards to the wetlands and beyond, Montalto Wine Room offers a contemporary space in which to absorb the true expression of our wines. Tastings in the Wine Room can be custom-designed to your preferences and include offerings from our highly-awarded Single Vineyard range.

Montalto Piazza & Cellar Door

The Piazza Café is all about sharing: food, wine and good times with loved ones, connecting with each other and to the surrounding environment.

You can sit amongst Wendy’s Garden, our expansive kitchen gardens, or in the beautiful sheltered Piazza courtyard, offering a climate controlled experience with breathtaking views through oversized, retractable windows.

The menu offers wood-fired pizzas and shared dishes such as slow roast lamb shoulder, barramundi with smoked paprika butter and zucchini with almond, manchego and mint.

Sculpture Trail

Sculpture is an integral part of life at Montalto and a highlight of any visit to the estate. Our Sculpture Trail winds its way through the property and our beautiful natural gallery provides diverse settings for our pieces. You might find monumental works sited in open spaces through to more intimate pieces amongst the wetlands and vines.
